Title: Couple Questions About MJ9
Post by: TheBoss on November 20, 2002, 08:32:21 pm
I decided to try the beta.    Couple questions:

When you first start it it gives you the message about having to "update" your library and it goes thru each file.  It stops on some and tries to connect to a "server" to download some plugin.  But it says "failed to connect to a server"!   (no prob with my ISP connection).   Why does it do this?

I like the "playing now" section to have the "track info pages" look.  Is there a way I can download some new display plugins to enhance the look of the track info pages?

Track Info pages from MJ 8 work in MJ 9.

About the "downloading plugin" garbage -- MJ is hitting files it doesn't understand.  It will be smoother by release.

Thanks Bruce.

"track info pages from MJ8" - well I only had the basic default styles track info pages in 8.  Is there a way to download new ones or different styles for them?

You can find Track Info Templates on the Plug-Ins Download page.

Cool!   THanks for the link.

How hard it is to make them?   Do you need some special programming knowledge?

No, just some HTML. There are a few MJ "tags" which you can see by looking at the other templates in an HTML editor... or notepad.
