Awww man. I just purchased version 8 and learned that version 9 is soon to be released. Will I have to re-purchase a key to get to v9? How will this work?
Thanks
::)

Sanman - from the faq:
A version 9.0 license will also work with version 8.0.
I dont have personal experience of this. My understanding is that a v8 licence works with v9. As long as you have backups, give v9 beta a try. Otherwise, there'll be a more informed opinion along in a minute.
And FWIW, my experience is that JRiver are not in the business of punishing those who buy MJ whilst a new version is in development.

you know i did some research on this this morning but i could not find a straight answer from the J river HTML pages.
i am thinking that jim said that if you bought MJ8 before s date that excapes me it would after they raise the price (and they have not done that yet) it would not work.

I'm wondering the same thing.
The FAQ says a v9 license will work with v8; it doesn't say "vice-versa". I take that to mean that if you do not own 8, and you purchase 9 right away, you can also use v8 (in case you no longer want to test the beta).
So... will my v8 license work with v9, or must I purchase the upgrade?

My version 8 license is working just fine with 9. I guess yours will too. The magic date was 10th of October I think...
