Title: "Weighted" shuffle?
Post by: richelesro on November 15, 2002, 11:01:17 am
Is there a way that MJ would weight items that have played less a little heavier than those that have played a number of times so that the fewer played files will be towards the top of the list?  I have a large (8,000 or so) collection of MP3s and I seem to hear the same ones over and over when I reshuffle.

maybe they should also use the Last play field to help out in not playing the same song.

You could make a smartlist that will play songs you've never heard before:

mediatype=[audio] numberplays==0 ~sort=random

Interesting And nice idea

But thats not quite what he wants, and i think it should be more user friendly.

What about ~s=random ~t=60 lastplayed=>10000?
