I would use media server a lot except it's not working the way I would like it right now. Main problem is playing file types other than mp3.
If I play an apl file, it has to download the ape image file first and then it plays just a portion of it (apl). Playing avi files takes a long time also. mpg files are ok.
Any of these file types can be played instantly using MS file sharing and sharing the same library over the same network.
Why can't media server do the same? Is there any plans on updating the server?
