Folks,
I just did some extensive testing and discovered that if you use the LAME encoder to make a mono VBR file (audiobook) the reported length of the file is wrong.
Neither MS Media Player, MJ, nor the iPod can play these files back all the way through. They cut the tracks short at about the halfway point.
