Title: Any way to display filename without the full path?
Post by: LarryJoe on November 11, 2002, 02:41:40 pm
I just want to list the file name and not the whole path.  This will make it easier to find mpeg's that now come up blank in the tag fields.  The full path file name is awful crowded.

Tell Matt You Want That As An Option, It Should Be Ready Tomorrow Sometime.

Matt, I'd like to see that option as well, if it's possible. I was reorganizing files this weekend and was thinking how much I wished MJ would do that.

I gotta think it is in the works as MJ8 works this way.  But anyway, Matt, I am asking, could you make this the default like in MJ8?

Maybe we could make some customization for how fields like "file paths", "dates" and "times" get displayed.  We're planning an advanced options section eventually, so give us a few weeks and then remind us if it isn't there.

Thanks everyone.

Matt,
Any chance of taking this one step further and just doing seperate FileName and FilePath fields??
It'd give a nice extra bit of power :)

Nice to know your going to let us customise the date displays :)
