To try MJ9 without risk I installed MJ9 on my laptop afew days ago. I used one of my restore => Media Jukebox8-4065.mjr file (received November 4th) and then I registered MJ9. To do some tests about tagging (infamous custom1 tag) I uninstalled MJ9 and I reinstalled the last build today. But when I tried to register again, it said me "invalid licence" !
I though I could use the same key during 2 weeks ?
(I don't want to use another restore as there are limited restores / year).

The install key is good for 14 days.
I had the same problem last night before I rebooted. Then it worked.
There are some problems in the latest build of 9 that will be fixed this afternoon.

I just rebooted: ever invalid licence.
It says me "media jukebox.exe not found" before; then I put the key file into MJ folder and I double-clik the key file => "invalid licence".
Also: in register info, it says me I have expired my 30 days so I cannot try anything to test MJ :(

Is your PC's date correct?

Yes.

More details:
In this laptop I was running MJ8 without register it as I didn't need to use PLUS feature on it (it was just a client to media server).
I installed MJ9 some weeks ago (30 days ago ?), without registering and began to play with it.
3 days ago, in order to test the "upgrading from MJ8 problem" I uninstalled MJ9 and then reinstalled MJ8 and again MJ9. It is when I decided to restore a key to register MJ (8 or 9 ? I don't remember).
It has been ok.
But uninstalling MJ9 and reinstalling the last build today, I would use my recent key and... you know the end of the history.

I just installed last build (074) and I used a new restore:
invalid licence again.
What have to do now ?
(I read the FAQ, etc...)
-
And YES I rebooted...
