Title: Feature Request: Differentiated Media Type Icons
Post by: NoCodeUK on November 05, 2002, 06:05:53 am
Is it possible to have different icons for different media types as now that MJ can handle just about every file type on my system ( ;D ) I have a lot of files in explorer with the same icon.  Even just an overlay like windows shortcut overlay although obviously 24 bit XP style icons would be nice too ;)

Pump!!  .gif, .mp3, .m3u and .avi all look the same in windows explorer?  Tragic!  I suggest four different file type groups:

Video:  all video extensions, called MediaJukebox.Video, with one customizable icon for all of them.

Audio:  all audio extensions, called MediaJukebox.Audio, with one customizable icon for all of them.

Image:  all image extensions, called MediaJukebox.Image, with one customizable icon for all of them.

Playlist:  all playlist extensions, called MediaJukebox.Playlist, with one customizable icon for all of them.

If I was any good at graphical design, I'd sure as heck submit some sample icons that you could use as a selection.  It'd be sweet to have MJ come with 4 or 5 different icons for each of the four media food groups.

YES YES YES.

Kurts idea is a good compromise.
I'd personally like to be able to set each one individually but I'll settle for his suggestion!!!
