Hi,
In the 'Upload To Device' section of Media Player 9, it would be great to have an option to add some EQ-ing to the sound, in addition to the existing Normalization and re-encoding stuff. Even better would be being able to click 'apply current DSP Studio settings' and the and uploaded/resulting file would have all the benefits of the DSP Studio built in ...
This is all because most MP3 players have terrible EQ/DSP functions built in or non at all. I would love to establish a preset for all files being sent to my MP3 player (a Creative Labs NOMAD MuVo). Right now I have to do it using a third part program that is very clunky, and the Media Editor which comes with Media Jukebox makes it too easy to actually modify the ORIGINAL file on my computer.

I think I like this idea.... but what about extending it to some kind of a more general filter architecture...?
Think about uploading a complete tree... but leave out every file that has lets say a rating below 3...
or put a complete playlist through a crossfade filter (resulting in a single file....)
or filtering tags... I store cover images inside my mp3s... but my archos can't display them... so just removing any tag that's not supported by the player would just save space (even more important on flash based players....). (but adding the cover image as a file would be great...because my archos can display jpg/bmp pictures... :-))

We're actually in the process of unifying all our decoding and playback to use one uber-playback core.
This should open cross-fading, DSP, audio format conversion, and lots of other cool things up to many MJ tools like "Uploading" and "Converting"
