Could you PLEASE add a set of features like: mp3utility has to check the mp3's.
That way we will know if any of the music in our library is corrupted.
I'd preferably like it seperate to Audio Analysis but that'd be up to you.
It'd be a GREAT tool so that people could always know that all the music in their library was good quality and hadn't gotten corrupted.
-
it has been asked before as far back as 2 years i know of.
-
hmm, wonder if that means it's more likely to be added as it's so wanted, or less likely as they haven't already added it and it's been wanted for that long :)

I do not think It Has Been Even Worked On.
The Request Was Made When Napster Was Alive And Well And J River Asked On How They Could Support Napster Or Other Downloads Better.
This Was Sugested, The Responce Was More Like It Is Hard To Tell What Is A Good Mpeg And What Was Not. I Am Just Wondering How Can MP3\Utility And Helium Mp3 Tag Editor Do It And No One Else Can.
I Kind Of Wish The Programer That Makes Helium To Release A Version Of His Analize.dll To The Market So Others Can Include It In There Programs. He Said 2 Months Ago He Would Think About It.
Maybe If The Right Offer Was Made That The Info Could Flow And Maybe J River Could Add This As A Very Nice Option To The Program.
As We Know More And More Files Are being Downloaded From Not Only MP3.com And E-Music But Other Sources. I Prefer To Run My Downloaded Files Thru Somthing To Tell If There Are Any problems And Then Delete Them.
Even If This Option Was A Add-On Plug-In Or What Ever I Think This Would Increase The Sales Of MJ Over The Others If Not Only They Get All The Options MJ Already Has But include A MPEG Checker.
My 3 Cents

The great plus would be to use it 'inside MJ'..You test your mp3,send to a playlist the ones with problems and listen to it.
Good despite the indication, you keep it.
No good =delete or you send it to a folder "to fix "if you want to try to convert to wav and back.I never did it until now. When AudioGalaxy still here, delete was the best thing to do.
I do not know Helium, i use MP3Utility and i am really happy with it,unlike 2 other programs doing the same

Helium Finds Many More Problems Than MP3\Utility (Helium Is Not Free Like MP3 Utility).
Mp3 Utility Has Not Been Updated Since November 2001
I always Run Mp3\Utility And Then Run Helium On the Same Files.
Out Of Maybe 1000 Helium Will Point To And tell You Where The Errors Are In The Mp3 In Aboout 100 More Bad MP3s Than MP3\Utility Found.
In Helium 2.0 I Was Able To Get The Programer To Add A Delete Function, You Can Mark The Bad Mp3's And Then Delete Them.

For me MP3Utility is fine.I stil have to find songs with problems started good by MP3Utility
Another programs MP3 Check gives me songs bad at 98% and when listening to it,they are fine.
I have nothing against Helium, the day i find that MP3Utility gives me not so good results,i would try Helium

I've tried Helium in the past. I liked some of it's features and it was pretty good.
The problem was that it was just sooo complex.
Too many features in your face.

True
I only use it for The MPEG Checker
Media Jukebox Does Most Everything A Normal User Would Need.
The MPEG Checker Would Be An Added Enhancement For Power Users.
