Title: Download manager: help with authentication
Post by: Dirk Heinemann on December 21, 2002, 09:35:10 am

Hi to all,

I try to download from emusic with download manager. But there comes no music but the message 'Member not found'. When trying to enter the authentication I can't do that because my email (dirk.heinemann@t-online.de) is too long for the input field.

Does anybody know help (as perhaps enter the entry in hex directly in the registry)?

Thanks in advance.
regards
Dirk Heinemann

Have you been able to access it before?

The question first: Yes, I could.

I read some of the message threads here and found one of help for me. I reinstalled the emusic-download-manager and now the download works fine again.

The problem with not being able to enter my url-connection (the mailname is too long for the field) persists.

Thanks to all.

From My Experiences With Emusic...Authorization Isn't Needed....Gotta Make Sure That The Emusic Cookie Is Turned On...(Esp If You Don't Use Their Downloaded Manager) Also With Past Experience....I've Had It Where After 4 Or 5 Album Downloads I've Had To Logout And Re-Log Back In....
Hope This Helps And Have A Nice Holiday

Dirk,
Cut & Paste the first time. I tried it with the login name you posted above and it will work. After that you should be able to pick it from a dropdown list (if you have more than 1 Email account on your machine) already associated with your password. Like NY40male said, you'll need cookies turned on.
