Title: Plug-in Request: Print hard copy of database
Post by: iCamp on October 02, 2003, 04:37:46 pm
One of MediaCenter's shortcomings, IMO, is its inability to easily print a copy of the library.  I'd simply like to be able to select the printed fields and the sort order and let the plug-in do the formatting.

Is that too difficult for a plug-in??

What's wrong with the built in print function exactly? It prints the visible columns and in the sort order you have specified, doesn't it?

Lots wrong with it.
You have no control over the formatting -that's a pretty huge problem right there.

What about using the AlbumView stuff that sraymond has been working on.  You could always modify the xstl file to change the look if you wanted to.

It you give me an HTML example of the formatting (maybe it's just a table with CSS?), I'll gladly write you an HTML that prompts you for fields to display and sort order and then generates the HTML from the MPL.
