The latest Album View is working great for me, but I have one question about it.
I have almost 2000 albums in my database, by way of indicating scale. If I start MC with AV as the last/recent view, AND the box for loading the last used DB is checked, it takes a long >3 mins time to load. If I start MC with AV as the last/recent view, AND the box for loading the last used DB is NOT checked, and then I manually load the same DB, it loads almost instantly.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Can you post the results from the logview so I can see exactly what the time difference is.

After rebuilding the MC library, and then rebuilding the AV database, the problem seems to have gone away. Another one for the "go figure" dept. Thanks for being available to respond, though.

Perhaps I spoke too soon.

What might account for the difference?

Your OS cache of the file.
On my machine reading 500 artwork covers it takes 8 seconds on the first load then 1 second all subsequent loads.
You should try using AV without the cache to see if it's more responsive for you.
Go to options/artwork and uncheck "Cache artwork" and "Use high resolution sampling ...".
I really must make some time and refactor that whole section of AV :-/
