A Few New things In 1.0.21

1. Added Lyrics Database

Lyrics For 6000 Songs Added To A Database That The Program Will Now Search And Add It To The Lyrics Id3v2 Field.

2. A Loose Various Artist Match Option

If Various Artist Is In The Artist Name If You Turn The Option On The Program Will Match On The First Song With The Same Name. (This Option Is Really Not Recomended, But someone asked for it sometime back).

3. Database Corrections, And Better Matching Because Of That

No luck.

I downloaded the plug-in and it installed and I rebooted.

I also got the runtime from Microsoft.

I don't see a folder called plugins in my tree, should I?  How do I get chartfinder to start up?

Thanks! :)

I know J river was messing with the install the other day in MC not sure if somthing is broken.

But you should see it in the Plugins (to the left) in the tree like it is on the pictures above.

what was the link you downloaded it from (there is two)

I will uninstall it now and then install it and see what happens.

Update:

I Just Tried It And It Installed Fine For Me In Version 9.0.98 Using Windows XP

There does seem to be some problems with MC9 And Windows 98 Lately.

Working fine (as we speak) on my XP machine.  I'll try uninstall and reinstalling it downstairs (on the 98SE) machine tomorrow. :)

Thanks!

- Bug - the setup options aren't drawing correctly. The text is looking totally hap hazard for me. The  titles of each section are just appearing as text over the underlying box, they dont have a background and so are hard to read

Send me a picture

what is the text your talking about?

Mine looks fine, maybe it is not looking good for you depending on what skin or system settings your using.

thanks for sending the picture in E-mail

Yep that is a bug with Windows XP And Using Windows Xp Skins And Some Visual Basic Controls

I don't have windows XP skins on normaly since it slows the system down, and i just don't care

I Will See What I Can Do, basicly would be removing the title of the boxes around the control areas thats the only fix

there is also another visual bug with Option controls with Windows XP Skins

Just a couple bugs in the latest version (1.0.24):

Loose Matchs == Loose Matches on main tabs

I'm getting TAG TOO SHORT put into the comment field and UNKNOWN ALBUM NAME in the Album field even if the preferences are set to UNCHECK of "If song not found .... "

>> I'm getting TAG TOO SHORT put into
>> the comment field
not if you have that option unchecked, i just looked at the code there is no way.

What may have happen is it was not turned off. whenever you get a new version it turns this option back on since the setup file is updated.

>> UNKNOWN ALBUM NAME in the Album field even
>> if the preferences are set to UNCHECK of "If
>> song not found .... "
I don't have an option to turn off the "Unknown Album Name" but i can Add One.

Just Fixed The Spelling.

Look For A Build Tomorrow.

More Nits ..... (1.0.25)

1)  In DO NOT INVERT CHART POSSITION ... Position is mis-spelled.
2)  I cannot edit the field " SKIP WORD " ... takes me to Now Playing ...

3) Is there any way to make the plugin run in the background instead of Stopping if I move to the Now Playing section ?

>> 1. Position
will be fixed next build

>> 2)  I cannot edit the field " SKIP WORD "
You can but since backspace is a MC\MJ hot key you can not use that.

I prefer to think of that as a bug in MJ\MC where it does not stop the hot keys when a Plug-In is running.

J River Knows About This Bug, But Has Not Fixed It As Of Yet.

The only way to get around this is to open a new window and then allow a user edit in that window. Like I did where you can edit the tags. I may do that but only 2 people seem to have noticed.

>> 3) Is there any way to make the plugin run
No, Once you leave A Plug-In MC takes Control And The Plug-In Terminates Control.
