In MediaCenter 9.1.243, I know I can use MediaCenter to play a remote library, and, I know via the SDK I can manipulate the local library. Now, the question is, can I do the following, or is someone already doing this.
A new tool is created "replicate library". When run, it accesses a media server and, compares that library to a given local one -- including the default one. Any files not found in my local library that are on the media server library are added to mine. This is not just the library itself, but the files as well.
In effect, when run, a local MC9 would acquire everything on a central server.
Anyone up to this?
