Things were working great for a while. But all of a sudden, my Windows XP machine plays back MP3 files in the library *really* slowly.
It takes about 8 seconds to go through 1 second of music, and the sound is very low.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Steve Ware

Reboot?
Defrag?
Turn Off DSP?
Turn Off Other Programs That Are Running?
does it sound like it is draging or skiping.
Goto help, system info in MJ and post your system info.

Many reboots.
What is DSP and how do I turn it off?
Jukebox is the only program running. Can't really hear skipping. Dragging is a good term. Everything is really slow and low. Not recognizable at all.
Defrag probably won't help because the main library is on a network server that's been around a while, but I'll do that anyway.
Here's the system info:

i see your running an old version, not that that is the problem, but you may want to reinstall the 8.0.388 version if you have it.
never heard of this problem.
