9.1.256 beta
The random full albums don't work with Tivo via the Media Server.
If I set up a list for 2 random full albums, I only get back two tracks. My setup is "[Media Type]=audio [Track #]==1 ~n=2 ~a ~sort=[Random]".
It works correctly within Media Center, according to the new rules (i.e. I get back two whole random albums in random order).

Fixed in the next build. Thanks,

I have a slightly different problem. I have a few full album smartlists, and some of them do not show up on the Tivo. Of course, accessing the with MC is no problem, this only happens with Tivo.
Does anyone know how to fix this??

Hi Jim,
Can you post your smartlists and I'll check this out?
Thanks

The playlists in question are based on a Track 1 playlist. All Music-Track1 is as follows:
Media Type: Audio, Track #:=1, Not Genre: Seminar
The playlist that DOES show on Tivo is:
All Music-Track1 Modifier:Full Albums Sort:[Random]
The playlists which DO NOT show on Tivo are variants of the first, such as:
All Music-Track1 Modifier:Full Albums Sort:[Random], Genre: Classical
Let me know if you require any further info.

Can you take a look at the ones that don't work on TiVo from Media Center and let me know if they contain pictures? (Start Media Center, connect to Media Server, and look at the contents of the smart list)

No, they are all music files. Besides, the lists that don't show up are sub-sets of a list that does show up (base list is filtered to one genre).

When I tried your examples, my "DOES WORK" list contained pictures, even though the base list did not. This may cause it not to be shown on TiVo, so I was wondering if that was your case. I'll investigate further.

Then, I'm not sure what you mean by contains pictures. Are you referring to Image files, or embedded album art in mp3 tags? BTW, just so we are clear, my "DOES WORK" list is the base list, the lists that don't show up are identical, except have an additional "Genre=" qualifier.

Hi Jim,
I can reproduce it here, check back soon.

Hi Jim,
It'll be a few days before this works. It's a drawback of the current algorithm for checking to see if a playlist is empty. This was on my list of things to replace for v10, but I haven't done it yet.
In the meantime, moving genre into the base smartlist should be a workaround.

Thanks! I can wait a few days. I look forward to it.
