Title: Supertagging
Post by: mtschirret on December 23, 2002, 08:53:29 am
I hate to ask this, but is there such a thing in MJ as "Supertagging?"  I am specifically referring to the capability that MusicMatch has in their software...This goes out and gives you the options for the closest match of a song if it can't find it.

Thanks!

No ,there is no such a thing in MJ.
I have to say that the MM supertagging is just fantastic.

PS: do not run to download MM,only the registered fonction has supertagging

well Yes and no

Media Center 9 Has An Option to take a media file and analyze it, and even if the Media File does not have tags it can find a match.

since this is something new for Media Center, The Matches are abit limited right now due to the database needs to grow with User Input.

I would like to see a better system Like you see In Music Match, that is not perfict but it also allows you to get cover art at the same time.

But close to be ,really.
Do mess sometimes with 'best of' and have some very surprising 'black holes'.
But ,King ,i am sure they have more staff working on supertag than all the river staff.
No secret

All the MM tags and sleeves are MJ-MC compatible ,this is good.
I use MM as a tagging software and MC as my jukebox
