Right now the only playlist I have is for my iPod. I can fit several hundred albums on it, so I need to add lots of albums to the playlist. In MC9 when I click on the iPod playlist it shows the song names, artist, etc in the right pane.
I would like to be able to see only the albums so I can "quickly" see which albums I have added to the playlist. Any ideas?

Go to any of the Media Library views and enter [Playlist]=<your playlist here> as the search rule. If you have a pane that shows Albums, that will be the list of albums in your playlist.

I don't understand what you are saying to do.
Can you give the "exact" steps to do in order to accomplish this?
Right now, under Media Library I have "Audio" and "Artist/Album"
Are you saying that I should add a search rule to that?
Sorry, but I need specific help on this one. :(

.... on a related note ... how hard would it be to print the list of albums in a playlist to a file (excel)?
-
Click on Audio, or Artist/Album - it doesn't matter.
There is a little empty field just above the panes, with a little inverted ^ and the words "<search here>".
Click on the little inverted ^ - this should bring up a menu that says:
Add Rule >
Add Modifier >
Add Keyword >
etc...
Select Add Rule, then Playlist...
This will bring up a dialog listing all your playlists. Tick the checkbox next to your playlist.
Click OK.
If you have a pane that shows albums, this will now only show the albums that are in your playlist.

Search the forum on this. Or go back a few pages and look for Printing Library. It has been covered in depth.
