Hi Guys,
I've just downloaded iTunes and its obvious that it just doesn't compare to the quality of MC.
I really can't see myself using iTunes.
However, I do love the way they have made the 'Radio' screen so easy to use. I spend a lot of time listening to the radio and to be honest the radio screens in MC look very old and simply forgotten about.
Any chance you could update MC to have a better radio interface - please ;D
I don't think the whole time I've had MC/MJ I've seen an update to the radio interface....
Thanks for a great product....

Gets my vote...I don't think Radio has changed since version 7... and iTunes does it very nicely...its about the only thing it does better than MC...
-
Yep, my vote too. I think iTunes indeed offers a nearly perfect model of how radios should be organized.

Yep, my vote too

I haven't bothered to download iTunes.... so I don't know what the radio part looks like there.
However, I do know that MC could use an overhaul in this area. Add my vote!

I too would love an upgrade to the Radio (Web Media) part of MC9.
-
If something is to be done to improve the Radio interface, could something similar also be considered for the TV interface? - It is also long overdue for imrovements.
-
I find myself listening to internet radio as much or more than my library. I am a die-haed Radio Paradiselistener & fan.
I would LOVE to see improvements in this area of MC9 as well . . . heck I may even find another station to listen to occaisionally (just to compare to RadioParadise of course) ;D
-
I'm the same. I probably listen 80% of the time to Web Radio - and spend only 20% listening to my own music.
I really hope they improve the radio interface.

Y'all are aware that you can put a "web radio" item in your media library now?
For example, I have an item called RAIUNO with the filename "http://www.radio.rai.it/live/radio1.ram" and I added a custom field of "Source" (filled with "web").
It works pretty well... I just wish they would let us put websites into the media library (that would open with the internal MC browser) - then I could get to some other sources of "media" that don't have a fixed URL.

What I'd IDEALLY like to see is web media AND tv channels moved into the Media Library - set up as default as seperate groups for beginners.
View schemes could then be made of tv channels - to sort by genre, rating, etc so we could organise our channels nicely.
It'd also just make it a lot more integrated.
The same with Radio - we could then tag stations and have them integrated with our library.
It'd be HUGELY powerful but at the same time - by making them their own group as default - it'd be very easy for beginners.

What do you consider "web media"? If you're talking about streaming audio or video... like I mentioned above, it's already implemented.
For me, "web media" is anything that opens in a browser: html, xml, asp, etc., etc. Pretty much anything that comes via the http protocol. For example, I'd like to be able to open http://www.srh.noaa.gov/radar/images/DS.p19r0/SI.kmux/latest.gif (http://www.srh.noaa.gov/radar/images/DS.p19r0/SI.kmux/latest.gif) within MC. While I can enter this in the media library, it doesn't show the graphic in PN. I'm not sure why.
TV channels - yeah, that'd be cool, too.

Scott,
How exactly do you add that item into your media library?
-
I would like to see the TV and radio interface improved as well. Put my vote down on that...

I would like to see more in this area too. I dont use it as much because I have had trouble.
Somehow a radio stream entry got synched to my iPod. It became impossible to delete. Ended up formatting the iPod.
I have not seen iTunes yet, but assume from the comments that it is good.
