Title: Sorting before a CD Burn?
Post by: MGD_King on October 17, 2003, 04:44:56 pm
Here's what I'm trying to do. I want to burn a CD of MP3's sorted by the Artist and the year the album was released. For instance:

Dream Theater (folder)Rush (folder)However, every time that I get the que sorted this way and update the order, it goes back to alphebetically listing of the Artist with the artists albums in alphebetical order. It totally disregards the year.

Anyone know if there's a way to do this, or am I doing something wrong?

Chuck all the files in playing now.

Sort by Year.

Select all files (Ctrl+A) then click the burn button on the toolbar.

Click options in the burn window> CD/DVD File naming> Custom and tick 'prefix the list order to the filename'.

Click options again and CD/DVD Folder naming>Artist.

That should do it.

JLee,

That works, however, I didn't want to rename the folders, but since it's for the MP3 player in the car, it's not that big a deal.

Thanks for the tip!
