Title: Volume Slider - Not functioning (9.1.280 & .281)
Post by: markp99 on October 17, 2003, 04:45:32 pm
In last couple beta versions, my volume slider is not functional.  I can adjust volume by clicking along the slider track but the button does not move.  Same problem exists in other skins.  I installed a much earlier beta version...same problem.

- Volume slider works in mini-me mode...
- Progress slider works fine
- Fully uninstalled MC9 before re-installing revisions.

Any Ideas??

Note: I have installed and removed iTunes; problem ws noticed in this timeframe.

I've had the same problem with every single build of MC 9.1.

I've posted a couple of times about it, without response.

I really would appreciate some guidance on this.  Thanks

I have had the same problem on one of my machines but clicking along the slider track does nothing and the volume slider itself is immovable. On that machine, I am using a $700 Echo Audio Layla24 external audio interface (made for home recording project studios). I've reinstalled the drivers for that device but have seen no change.

One last  ^bump^     ?

JimH, any formal channel to get this issue addressed?

While a nagging, piddly sort of issue, it noticeably affects my basic everyday usage of the tool; really annoying / frustrating.

I tried to fully un-install MC9, but I am sure there are registry breadcrumbs left behind.  You think scrubbing the registry might help here??

Help??

PS>  there are a few of us in the same boat here without a response between us...

I believe the problem is specific to certain sound cards.  We can't look at it for this version.  Maybe when we're done with 9.1.

Thanks, Jim.

I'll be patient then!

Slider did work until .280, but does not return even will a rollback before .280.

Try updating the sound card driver or (second choice) reinstalling your sound card software.

Success!!

Reinstalled the Creative SB Live! drivers (existing drivers within WinXP were sufficient).

Slider is now fully functional under 9.1.285.  Back to normal MC9 operation! :)

Thanks JimH!!
