After posting a new message, the old Interact software would automatically return you to the thread to show you the message you just posted. The new software returns you to the list of thread topics. It makes it harder to keep track of what threads you've already read because threads with new postings are always moved to the top of the list. I vote for a return to the old behaviour.

Seconded! I like to read what I just wrote...

Yeah--
Another weird one. Yesterday I hit "Preview"
to check my post.
I was confused by the button choices at the bottom of the screen especially "Reset Form." To me that sounded like clearing the post from the screen.
I hit the back key on the mouse. Swish--there went my post. Maybe "Reset Form" would be clearer if it said "Return To Post."
And maybe hitting the back button should just return you to the "Post" whence you came.

Yes, this is annoying. I use Mozilla's tabs when I come to Interact, opening interesting threads in new tabs. I don't need more views of any given forum root - I already have one.
I also think that "Mark As Read" should go back to the Interact root, as it used to do.

Plus it gives you a chance to check your post for obvious errors. (And I make a few!)

Another thing that irritates me is that it doesn't automatically put the cursor into the message box when replying to a thread.
-
it needs to set focus, also when creating a new post it should set focus on the Subject line.
-
Put it another way. Does ANYBODY like it the way it behaves now? I doubt it.
However, I have to say that the new board does look really good.

The other thing that annoys me is that IE doesn't seem to update read fields proeperly anymore...
Also the things I mentioned before that the XHTML 1.0 icon should only be displayed if the page succesfully validates at the W3C (which it doesn't btw...it has over 40 errors) and there is a glitch in the CSS for the tree at the top of a page in Firebird where when you hover it underlines the whole <DIV> and not just the relevant line...
Plus I add my vote for the one above...

it always starts as slghly annoying
then it grows to become very annoying
next thing ya know you are in divorce court :-\
;D

Lisa,
If you start with *very* annoying, it has no place to go but "better". I say better to marry knowing it can't get worse than marrying and "hoping" it won't get worse. :-)

P.S. Don't tell my wife that...

Please change it back.

I'm starting to get really annoyed with some of the threads around here. Who writes this stuff?
:P

You, for one... ;)

I thought I was the the only one that stuck my tongue out.
Oh and I guess I also agree. What are we talking about? :P
