Title: XP-Icons 4 Media Center, Track Info
Post by: fretwalker on October 19, 2003, 03:55:56 am
Due to clarity I put my Icon-Sets together as follows (old links from the previous thread in the MC9 forum don't work anymore):

Blue Steel (standard):

Download (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/CustomArt/BlueSteel/CA-BlueSteel-B.zip)

Blue Steel (icons not blended):

Download (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/CustomArt/BlueSteel/CA-BlueSteel-NB.zip)

PixOS (standard):

Screenshot (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/CustomArt/Screenshots/CA-PixOS-B-2.jpg)

Download (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/CustomArt/PixOS/CA-PixOS-B.zip)

PixOS (icons not blended):

Download (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/CustomArt/PixOS/CA-PixOS-NB.zip)

Please make a backup of the according skin folders before extracting the files or make a copy under a new name!
The icons go to the new 'Custom Art' folder (thanks JRiver for making it possible)...

Also I've also made some Track Info templates that fit the skins (4 my Taste):

Blue Steel (standard):

Download (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/TrackInfo/BlueSteel/TI-BlueSteel-B.zip)

Blue Steel (icons not blended):

Screenshot (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/TrackInfo/Screenshots/TI-BlueSteel-NB.jpg)

Download (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/TrackInfo/BlueSteel/TI-BlueSteel-NB.zip)

PixOS (both versions):

Screenshot (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/TrackInfo/Screenshots/TI-PixOS.jpg)

Download (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/TrackInfo/PixOS/TI-PixOS.zip)

Last but not least some appendant sets for the great PlayingNow-Plugin:

Blue Steel:

Download (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/PlayingNow/BlueSteel/PN-BlueSteel.zip)

PixOS:

Download (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/PlayingNow/PixOS/PN-PixOS.zip)

As soon as I have time left over I'll adapt some of the newly added Default Art's...

So long for now,

E.

Love that blue steel gradient fill fretwalker. Nice one m8.

I erm, "borrowed" it, hope you don't mind.

Is that a modified blue skin?

I'm mainly talking about the titlebar and the "seperator" after 'Media Center'. In my version, that is part of the image and not an actual seperator.

I'd rather not have it there as I don't have anything up there.

Hmmm..... I downloaded the Zip file for PixOS (standard) and unzipped it to the Media Center page, overwrote files.

However, only a few icons changed.  Most are the same.

What am I doing wrong?

As I said in my previous thread, I changed this a little and it's included in my zip's - but if you don't like it simply do not overwrite these three files:
Frame_LeftBorder.bmp
Frame_TopBorder.bmp
MainFrame_TopBorder.bmp

Sorry, the path info in my zip's is incomplete...it does not contain the 'Data' folder - you also need at least Build 9.1.279 which is looking for the 'Custom Art' folder which has to be under the 'Data' folder.
Please copy the 'Custom Art' folder to this place after extraction...

Fret.  Is there any chance we can have the artist icon available as one of the image icons in the Edit View Scheme dialog.  I notice that it is included in smallicons.png but I've never seen it displayed inside MC.  This would look really nice for artist based view schemes (like this pic from WMP).

I realise that this would mean sacrificing one of the existing icons.  As a music only user I'd rather replace the Video image with this.  I tried doing it myself but all the icons got screwed up!

JLee,
if you 'populate' an Artist-based View Scheme you'll see the icon like this:

Do you think you can live with that?  ;)

Take care,
Eric

Now I see why I never saw it - As a pane lover I don't populate the tree for any of my view schemes!  I can live with it I guess.
Title: Custom Art · Update...
Post by: fretwalker on November 12, 2003, 06:41:58 pm
Hi there,
uploaded an update of my XP-Style 'Custom Arts'...
it's quite complete now, maybe some little more fine-tuning will follow the next days.

 - Changed Logo.png for the case that there's no Cover Art existing
 - NoThumb.png has now completely transparent background
 - New QuickPlay Icon and some other changes in SmallIcons.png
 - Added CDRip.png, Converter.png, PartyMode.png, Options.png & Recorder.png
 - Completed ActionWindowNavigation.png

You can get it here (http://www.codemand.de/Files/Customizations/MC/CustomArt/BlueSteel/CA-BlueSteel.zip)

Hi fretwalker,

Are you planning on updating your icon set to include the new AW features (image import, and rip cd)?

I use these icons as part of an overall custom art set.  I've updated them to work with new builds, and i use them on my own machine.  I didnt want to release the updates, however,  because the work really isn't mine.  That said, fretwalker hasnt posted here since november...

Thanks Seviien. I'm sure fretwalker won't have any problems with you updating it.

Good job

These beautiful icons don't seem to work with MC11.  Has anyone managed to update them?

I made my own update of them and as long as the artist will ok me to post them, they're all yours. I also made some XP action icons if anyone is interested.

I've heard nor seen any posts here from fretwalker in quite a while. So I'm going to go ahead and post these. All the credit for the pre-existing smallicons.png and actionwindownavigation.png goes to fretwalker. I only swapped things around a bit. The icons for the mediamodes.png however are my creation. Use them as you please.

Enjoy!
