I personally would find resizing pages a HUGE help.
The number of panes I can use is limited not by the amount or size of the data being displayed but purely by the number of panes themselves - the more I make the more ALL of them are narrowed down meaning that creating 'grouping' levels means the next levels are truncated which is ANNOYING.
My favourite view scheme for songs is:
Year, Album Type (single artist, compilation, soundtracks), artist (grouped 1), artist, album (grouped 1), album
Both artist and album are truncated and the groups and year sit there with TONS of space.
I REALLY want genre in there too but cant even consider it at the moment :(
Would anyone else find resizing panes a HUGE benefit?
Also - I'd LOVE to be able to set sort order (ascending or descending) for the panes :)

Yes, I suggested it a few times as well. Matt once replied that it was quite tricky to do it, but I feel it would make MC9 to look more pleasant. Everything else is resizable except the panes.

Yes Yes Yes

It would be nice, but I get along OK as it is.

If it's tricky to do it, then I would be more than happy if only a tooltip was shown when hovering with the mouse over the truncated data on the panes, as it does in the tree. That would be enough for me at the moment.

I'd rather see it 'auto-size' the panes like the columns. Like if you have 'Rating', it's only 1 character wide and doesn't need all that space.
One thing that I wish there was would be to have the splitter bar remembered per view scheme. It's position is saved but it's for everything. Mainly for thumbnails vs. details view.
