In an effort to solve a problem I've been having with iPod synching corrupting last played/play count data I've just spent an hour recreating my MC database from scratch. 99% of this time was spent recreating my 60+ smartlists. The only way I could transfer them between libraries was to copy and paste the data to Word then copy and paste it back again to the new library. I couldn't create the new library as a clone of the original one because I needed to prove whether there was a problem with the old library. I really think MC needs a way to export, import, backup and restore smartlists.

Phil, I second that, it would be a reeally great feature, plus it would save us all a lot of time

Third it. Plus, it would let us email or link to 'em, and people could import 'em into their libraries. Just the smartlist code, mind you, not the actual media. It'd be just like an M3U, but with smartlist code instead of pointers to files; wrapped up in a package that MC can install, like a plugin.
