at the moment when i click on 'cd, dvd & handhelds' in MC9 it doesn't find the info for any cds in my cd drive, it just brings up the cd with 'track 1, track 2', 'unkwown artist', 'unknown album', etc. can someone help me to set this up right?
thanks, nick.

If it's a rare cd then it probably isn't in there.
Whats the artist and album?
-
its the same with all cds, even very popular ones!

Can you get into allmusic.com using the browser in MC?
Expand Playing Now.
Click on Artist info
-
yes

Follow imjustagamer's advice to be sure you don't have a set up problem. If you don't and it's just a case that some CDs are not found in the YADB database try this program:
http://www.smooth.dk/files/PsychicMP3_v2.0.exe
It does a great job of finding track info. Very fast and efficient. Once found it allows you to either update the tags, rename the files or both. My only critisism of the program is that the update tags bit doesn't always work - sometimes nothing happens. However, the rename files works very quickly and efficiently so I use this and then 'Fill properties from filename' in MC.
If you use this program be sure to submit tag info afterwards to YADB using Library Tools. Then other MC users will get the benefit.
Let me know how you get on. I just wouldn't be without this little gem for tagging. You will not believe how fast it is (and I'm a dial up user with 26kbps connection.)

not sure what advice i am supposed to follow re setting up everything ok. i am able to get into allmusic.com. is this what you mean, and, if so, what do i do next to set up correctly?
thanks, nick.

If you have the latest build, Goto the build thread and post this problem.
Maybe it's something conflicting with MC and your Comp.
Also paste the system info in the thread.
Help-System Info
PS, you don't have any virtual drives installed do you?

i have now installed latest version of MC9 and i am having the same problem, i.e. it cannot find any info for any cds (other programs, such as real one and EAC have no problem getting info). are there any settings that i can check prior to posting my problem on build thread?
thanks, nick.

Please include your system info by pasting it here from MC help. Update to latest might help.

I'm having the same problem w/ Media Jukebox...latest version.
Might there be a server problem???
Thanks,

Well, I answered my own question....
McAfee Firewall.... I had Media Jukebox blocked from accessing the Internet!!! I received no report from the firewall that it was blocking MJ access...just a cannot access YADB message
Anyone having this problem might check to see if they have a firewall problem.
