Title: How do I turn off Tag Mode?

Hi all,

I wanted to see what Tagging Mode looked like, so I turned on (from the Media Library screen).

Ok, great. I've seen it. Now how do I get it to go away? I've tried clicking the icon, trying to uncheck the item from the menu, and nothing works.

Please help. I'd like the screen real estate back.

Rather than trying to describe the icons, location, etc., if you are in a Media Library view and have at least one item selected (in the list), then pressing F4 will toggle you in and out of tagging mode.

Are you sure you are actually still in tagging mode?  With the default skin, it's very[/u] hard to tell.

If you see little magnifying glass icons in the pane windows, you are not in tagging mode.

Thanks for your message. After reading it, I realized that it's not the tagging mode that was bothering me, it was the two column view above the list of songs. Once I understood that the tagging mode wasn't the issue, I figured out how to close that pane.

I know that I haven't been very clear in explaining this, but basically you've helped me by clarifying things, and now I've gotten it to do what I wanted.

You've HIDDEN THE PANES?

Heaven forbid!  You just hid MC9.1's greatest and most powerful feature.  

...Unless of course you prefer the tree.  Maybe we should all debate that someday. ;D

I like the tree, I also still like 9.0! I hope this doesn't mean I'm going to MC hell. 8)

How do I use the PANES?
I only know how to have the tree on the left, all the music information on the bottom and the visual window on the top.  :-[
