Title: MP3 Encoder... WHERE IS IT
Post by: TAWEBB on October 25, 2003, 07:51:54 am
I purchased 8.0... took 3 restores to get it registered... Not very friendly or intuitive.

I thought 8.0 came with the MP3 encoder.... When I try to download I get this error: "Invalid Package file. Cannot continue" then it shows a file address on my computer that ends with  ...\content.IE5\SLKH2B45\enc_mp3[1].mip

I am not impressed with your instructions or help files -- and the time I have wasted trying to get registered and the MP3 to work. :P

Please help.... Thank you

The problem many times is not from MJ but OS problems, did you use IE only to restore?

For MP3 Encoder did you search in the plugins page? http://www.musicex.com/cgi-bin/downloads/plugins.pl?type=7&start=0&end=10&page=1

Direct Download: http://www.musicex.com/mediajukebox/mj_data/plugins/enc_mp3.mjp

i think your right it is An IE Problem

I also remember I read one time, it is best to use IE5.5 or higher

one other thing is to clean out your IE temp folder this is done under Tools, internet options, then click on the button "Delete Files". This is a bug in IE that does not clean up the temp folder the way it should.
