I try to use MC9.1 with my nVidia FX5200 based TV-tuner card (with WDM drivers installed). When trying to scan for chanels the dialog-box "Video Standard" pops up. Here I'm supposed to select one of the countries in a drop-down list. However, the list is empty! Which means that I cannot complete the dialog. What make matters worse is than the dialog cannot be canceled, and MC gets stuck in this state. The only sloution then is to kill MC from the Task Manager. :(
Is there anything I can do to populate the list of countries?

Try reinstalling MC and then rebooting.

What version of DirectX do you have on your computer?

Reinstalling MC did not work (I rebooted once after uninstalling and once after reinstalling).
I'm running directx 9.0b

I'm running directx 9.0b
I am 95% sure this is the cause. DirectX 9b has some bugs in TV tuner area. A few weeks ago I posted some quotes from Microsoft acknowledging the problem and there is a link to Microsoft where you might be able to download the fix for it. Do a search on this board.
If you just installed DirectX 9.0b in the last few days, you may want to simply undo it by doing a system restore.

Thanx! You where quite right! Fortunately Microsoft also has patch 9.0b for download from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=8dfd1b6d-e177-4a0e-91d0-b4310675b02b&displaylang=en.
After installing this patch I was able to sucessfully complete the dialog.
