Title: Rename Wrong CD Label
Post by: abrillon on October 29, 2003, 10:41:09 am
Hi there,

How do you rename a wrong CD label in disk location.  For example, when importing the cd it will store it by default with the CD volume name but I want it to be for example MP3_EasyListening03.  I used to simply right-click on the cd location and change the name (that is in version 6 up until 8).  But since version 9.1 the right click doesn't give th roption to rename a volume name.

Thanks in advance!

When you right click on the volume name, don't you see a "Edit selected item (F2)" choice? After selecting the item, you should be able to just hit F2 and edit the name.

The Edit selected item (F2) is greyed out. These are the steps I take:

- in the left panel I expand Media Library
- then I expand Audio
- then I expand Disk location
I right click on any "Unnamed Disk" volume name but the Edit selected item (F2) is greyed out.

I am using 9.1.291

Try this:

Method 1:

After expanding Media Library, expand Advanced and click on "CD & DVD". Now you'll see the volume names in the right view and you can edit them there.

Method 2:

Expand "CD, DVD, & Handhelds" and right click on the CD you want to rename. The edit choice should be available (or press F2).

Thanks you very much! Method 1 worked fine!

As for Method 2,  I only see the the two physical CD I have.  They is no list of all the CDs.

But I will surely use Method in profusion!
