Steve,
I'm finding the process of queing files for transfer to my Nomad JB III a little confusing unless I'm doing something wrong. I'm currently dropping the files I wish to transfer to the Nomad on the Handheld icon in the action window. The action window then displays the correct number of files above the icon. I press the "click here to continue" button. If the Nomad is connected, the content window changes to display what I think are the files present in the Nomad. However, the transfer window instructs to "Click the "Transfer" button now to begin copying the files shown above to the handheld device." That's the confusing part, because the "files shown above" are not the files that I wish to transfer. If the Nomad is not connected, the content window does not change and the "files shown above" are indeed the correct files that are in the queue.
The only other problem I have is that playlists are not transferring. Is that something that can be added?
I'm using the most recent plug-in.
Thanks :)
Shelly

Shelly,
After you drag and drop the files on the Action Window, if you click 'Click here to continue', what you see in the right view are all the files on the NOMAD and the files that are queued. If you click 'Transfer', only the queued files will transfer. Click the 'Status' column to group all the queued files together if you just want to look at what is in queue.
In regards to Playlists, you can drag and drop playlists directly on the Nomad Jukebox tree item and the files will transfer and the Playlists will be created automatically. In addition, you can right click on NOMAD Jukebox and select 'Synchronize Files' which will give you the option to automatically synchronize playlists.

What makes this misleading is the statment "begin copying the files shown above," when what's listed above are all of the files presently on the handheld plus the files in the queue. It would be much clearer and more consistent with they way burning works, if the content view only showed the files in the queue.
I haven't used the synchronize files function yet but definately will give it a try.
Thanks, Steve

Shelly,
Thanks for your comments. If you do not want to see all the files, right click on Nomad Jukebox in the tree and select 'Show Queued files only'. Many customers want to see everything in that view, that is why it is the way it is by default. But you have a reasonable point, so that is why there is the option mentioned above.

Steve,
Would you consider changing "Click the "Transfer" button now to begin copying the files shown above to the handheld device." to "Click the "Transfer" button now to begin copying the queued files to the handheld device."? It doesn't change the functionality but does serve to increase clarity.
Now that I understand the intent, I'm ok with this, but I think that small change could help new users.

That is a good suggestion. It is added in the next build of MC.
