Post by: JoshuaHorowitz on November 03, 2003, 10:18:52 pm
I doubt there's much useful I could do in terms of begging, so I guess this is just a simple feature request.
But basically all I want is the following:
Thanks!

Thanks!

Also, when trying to copy some files recently, I got a dialog showing "a list of files that failed to transfer with an error code". All the files have forward slashes ('/') or question marks in them, and there seem to be a lot of 3s in there (the error code?). I remember Media Center previously converting these to underscores to avoid problems with file naming. Is this possible to configure?

Joshua,

The '3' means the system cannot find the file specified. This probably is related to the renaming of files based on certain characters in the filepath. Improving this is possible. Email me one of the failing files and I will fix this.

Joshua,

Tonight's build of MC (9.1.299) has the removal of the default 'Playlists' folder. If you are synching, then the playlist will appear because synching is designed primarily for playlists.   To do what you want, select the AJM playlist in MC and then drag and drop the files onto the root of your Archos with 'Rearrange Upload Folders' set to 'Genre Artist Album'. This will transfer your files to the root level and create folders based on Genre Artist and Album.

I know you want that to be fully customizable, and it can be in time.
