Title: Help with playback MJ 8

Have had MJ for quite some time - only to listen - not really up with the techno side of it - it was always easy.  Tried to listen to tunes - Got the message...
There was as error starting playback.  Make sure that your system has a valid sound playback device and that it is properly configured in MJ playback options.

Downloaded MJ8 - getting the same message - can't play anything!?!!?

Any ideas - just want to hear my tunes!?!?!

Can you nail down where the problem is by trying another player?..(such as WMP). If it also doesn't work than you may have a system problem.

Had the same problem.  Works fine now - opened Tools - Oprions - Playback.
On the DSP bar, unchecked "Output Format".  Left the rest checked.
