So what's the scoop? Inquiring minds want to know!
Matt answered:
JohnT gave it away in a post about 2 months ago.
You guys just aren't looking hard enough.
JimH added:
We can't talk about it until it ships.
And I got it all figured out:
I found that post from JohnT from about 2 months ago:
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=10070;start=msg60328#msg60328 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=10070;start=msg60328#msg60328)
Put it together with what JimH said about shipping (and this is litterally shipping...), and here it is: MC will be the first media player sent to the martians, copies of the program are on board of Rover Spirit Mission and are scheduled to land on Mars at 04:35 Jan. 4, 2004, Universal Time:

Ha ha JRiver, you really thought no one would figure it out, didn't you?
-
So, will it be a subscription, or pay-as-you-go model?
Mars' year is 687 Earth days, so I would not be suprised to see an annual subscription rate of $18.73.

they are going to sell "fuzzy little gray balls"?
by the way i don't think Jim wants to talk about this any more did you notice the other was locked, and i am sure this will be shortly.

Then I guess we had better leave quickly before we get locked in :o

[in another probably futile attempt to distract the relentless hunger for knowledge]
Voyager spacecraft defies all odds, leaves solar system 26 years, more or less, after launch

It must be working .... something I was trying to remember ... or find out ... or something ....... fading quickly.
Ha!! That's nothing new. I'm 52 years old. Sometimes I can't even remember my kids' names. I ROUTINELY forget what I'm saying in the middle of a sentence.

Nice Playing Now Stamp
Nice indeed. Credit goes to Drowbe for his great work on the [banned] Playing Now skin set.
Anyone interested can get this slim one here:
[banned]
For the entire set, see this thread:
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=5;action=display;threadid=16136 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=5;action=display;threadid=16136)

can it automatically put the stamp in? do you copy & paste? Do you have to take screen shots?
-
Just figured I'd throw this story out here...

Wal-Mart to start a music service... hmm...

kiwi:
go to that thread:

download the last version of the plug-in, install it, read the help and you'll be quickly able to configure so that it automatically upload a screenshot (you don't have to take it yourself) on to a website via ftp (other options are available). Check it out, this plug-in is amazing.

IO...
Have you been listening to that same Morcheeba track all day? You should try a little variety ("The Sea" is excellent off that same CD). Either FireBird or my ISP servers are doing some serious caching because your PN hasn't changed since I first saw it (this morning). It is neat, though. Would look even better if the area outside the "hourglass" outline were transparent.

I don't have the auto-ftp on that's why it didn't change.
I agree about that a little more transparency around the stamp would be great and I'm sure Drowbe must be working on that.
Let's prove that I listen other tracks. What about this one:

I figured there should be at least one point to this thread. ;D

Yeah, but don't make it too clear lest JimH lock the thread ;D
