Title: Need some help getting going

 ???Please help. I have had problems getting going. A lot of freezing etc. I thought I would wait a while, then dig in. Well it is time.

I am using XP Home, with version 2.1.291, just installed.

When I open up MC, I get a window which says "There was an error getting the current version number".  The top of the window says "Chart Finder"

Could you please help.

Try disabling the Chart Finder plugin.  Goto Tools/Plug in Manager/Interface
