Title: Request: Auto-disable DSP for DTS CD tracks
Post by: Zoner on November 09, 2003, 07:37:56 am
I posted a request for this just before MC9 was finished, and was asked to post a reminder here once MC9 was out.  Now that MC9.1 is out, hopefully J River has time to add it.

What I am after is an option to detect audio in DTS CD format, and once detected, automatically disable all MC9 DSP operations.  Any use of DSP on a DTS CD track will mangle the signal and just result in noise coming from the speakers.

The only DSP option I use is Replay Gain.  Today with MC9.1, I have to disable Replay Gain before I listen to DTS CD tracks, and re-enable it afterwards, which means I cannot include them on any "general" playlists.

J River - can you confirm that you have seen this request?  Not when or if you're going to implement it, but just that you've seen the post.

It's a good idea, and we'd like to do it in the future sometime.

Thanks Zoner.
