I am recording some lectures I have on cassette and converting to MP3 format. I would prefer to not have MC9 automatically create tracks when it senses a "gap". I know how to do this - not a problem. However, I may come back in the room 30 minutes after the completion of the recording - and of course have 30 minutes of complete silence t the end of that track. How can I go back in the track, locate the proper end of it, and then have MC9 eliminate the excess?
Additionally, how can I have MC9 reconnect multiple tracks into a single track (in the proper order of course)?

By playing around with the MC's Split Track settings min gap between tracks and max gap level, you should be able to get just 1 file with the trailing silence removed (if that option is checked). If you don't want MC to do any track splitting, then you'll have to use Media Editor for splicing operations (look under Tools).
