There's a bug with the search.  Try connecting directly by adding a new library with the library manager and specifying "m01p://ipaddress:port" for the location, substituting the correct ip address and port, of course.

I have the exact same issue than you Delta. Using V 9, I am trying to connect to my media server (v 8), using m01p://ipaddress:port. The connection is done, the information download is done, and at the end of the connection process I have an error message:
"Media Center failed to load the specified library. It will revert to the default library".

FYI. My media server is behing a firewall with a translated IP and only the port used by my library server open.

Any help appreciated!

Well, that's not exactly the same problem.

You can't use a V9 client with a V8 server or vice versa.  There was a big library format change in V9.
