It seems to me I read somewhere (not necessarily this forum) that if you want to use ASIO with the Revo card, the card's driver needs to be configured for a freq=48k, not 44k (or some thing along those lines, and my ignorance shows). In any case, I was hoping there existed a thread somewhere which could enlighten me ... why this is so ... and how to do it.

Use the Revolution Control Panel. It's under the Input/Other tab.

If you want to use the revo drivers "Circle Surround" you must playback at 32k, 44.1k or 48k or the surround will not work on your rear channels. You probably read this in the revo manual, it is also now stated in the surround panel in the latest driver. I belive this is true with wave out and Direct sound as well ASIO.
If you don't care about using the surround setting in the driver then you can choose any sample rate in the "output format" of MC.
You shouldn't have to set the rate in the driver it should pick it up but I have been having a minor problem with this under ASIO. See my post in the build 309 bug thread.

This is one of the driver settings I've at least played with ... its default is 44k, but if I select 48k it doesn't stick, but simply reverts back to 44k (... possibly something to do with Tiberius' reply, but you imply it should be a viable option? ...)

Yeah, it works for me. I leave it at 48k with my ASIO latency set at 512 (otherwise, MC skips and pops). Mind you, I also have MC's DSP Studio set for a bit depth of 32 and the sample rate set at 48k there as well.

OK ... got it ... the "output format" needs to be enabled ...
