Title: Bad quality of TV mode
Post by: Felerian on November 20, 2003, 07:03:40 am
I am using Windows XP, Media Center 9.1.308 und the latest WDM drivers for my Hauppauge Primio FM card.

The card works very good with the Win TV 2000 software, but when I scan for channels in Media Center, *every* Channel looks like this (http://mp-d.de/bilder/tv.jpg), and I can't find a way to make it better... :(

That didn't change anything, but I found out that it was set to NTSC instead of PAL...

Although I told the software to scan for German channels on cable it used NTSC, which is not used at all in Europe as far as I know.

After you manually set it to correct format, does it stick the next time you start MC TV?

I had a similar problem, but running the wdm tv viewing software in the background solved the problem

It does.

But I prefer using the Win TV 2000 software for watching TV because switching channels is more easy and I am used to it...  ;D
