I purchased MJ8 on 9/28/2002. I later updated to 9.0 with the special beta version. I have since lost my hard drive. But, I did print out my original registration confirmation. I went to the web site https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi to restore my license, but it can't find it. I tried to have the web site send my registration numbers to my email address, but it couldn't find that either. I don't want to post my registration number on the forum, but is there a fax number I can fax the registration to, or a phone number I can call?

If you have an older version 8 license, it will work with version 9.
Version 8 would work with a version 7 license. Version 9 won't.

I realize it won't work with 9, but I can't download the licence file for 8, as it can't find the registration. It used to work with 9 beta, and I purchased before the December 1 deadline.

maybe your using the wrong e-mail
if you bought MJ8 at that date, the e-mail should be in the J river database for MJ8.

Try using IE. Visit the restore page. Enter your Registration Code by using copy and paste.
If that doesn't work, write me at jimh @ jriver.com.

I tried my email address, but it couldn't find it. I never received a conformation email, as the payment method at that time didn't send one out.

if you never got a e-mail after you registered you may have entered the e-mail in wrong when you bought.
as jimH said send him a e-mail.
