Australia 17
England 20
This may not mean much to a lot of people, but it is a HUGE deal to any English rugby fan. Great fightback by the Aussies and it's a shame one team had to lose. Jonny Wilkinson for Prime Minister.

Ha ha!! - It's not a shame the Aussies lost - I got way way too many Ossie mates - first thing I wanted to do with that drop kick was phone them up and go: Ha Ha really loudly down the phone!! :)
It was a good game but the better team def. won! :)

Congrats to the English. Probably the first time ever that the current best team has won the RWC.
You guys are going to look to keep selecting Cohen's: 1966 and 2003.
There was a sense of deju vu, though. Stransky drop-goal in extra time at Ellis Park. Much better result from my perspective.
Cheers
Tony

King: You mean you werent cheering your boys on when the Eagles beat Japan in RWC2003? www.usarugby.org (http://www.usarugby.org)
Having suffered so many times whenever England play Oz at anything, this was sweet indeed.

I Hate Sports
When Direct TV called Offering Me The Sports Package I Asked Them How Much They Were Going To Pay Me To Watch It.

Its a bit like American Football only with less padding...

Greetings from the land of the RWC 1995 winners (South Africa). Since then. we seemed to have lost quite a few plots (and the ability to play rugby).
I's just like to state that, IMHO, this Jonny dude is EXTREMELY overrated.....he seems to be some sort of demigod there up north.......someone please explain to me why he's so much better than:
Rob Andrew
Andrew Mehrtens
Joel Stransky
Michael Lynagh
Phill Bennett
etc
etc
The reason that this guy shines is that he has a MAGNIFICENT set of forwards to lay a solid platform....as well as an extremely canny scrumhalf........I loved that dummy & dash just before THE drop kick....
BTW, Mike Catt was at the same school that I was (Grey High, Port Elizabeth)...I remember watching him play schools rugby (at full back)...he was darn good then as well......
I played in a few orchestras with his mother many years ago....very good flautist/music teacher....she trued her best to get the boys to give up rugby (too rough) and now look what's 'appened!
