I lost all the cover art in my library of 500+ CDs. I have a backup of all the images in the JRiver/Data/Cover Art directory, but have been unable to restore more than one CD at a time using the “Image/Add from file” command. I thought about starting from scratch and going online and retrieving for all, but when I started the search, it apparently is just looking for the few artist that I did not have art for in the first place. When I tried using the Smartlist command “task-no image” the only files that are showing up are the few files that I did not have cover art for before losing all the cover art. So it appears that MC in seeing the files as still having Cover Art. I know all the files are in the backup folder. Is there an easier way of fixing this short of replacing the art one CD at a time.
Thanx

why don't you do it normaly (get from internet) but in a combo box within that is an option to get it from your local cover art folder it will do them all within a few mins.

Thanx King, I did not see the option to get it from my local cover art folder. When I open the "get from internet" option, I show two windows with drop downs. The top one is Mode, I tried the Offline(use already downloaded cover art) but it is not retrieving the art. I think, somewhere in my backups, that MC is seeing the files as already having art. What about this, if I use the option to "remove all my Cover Art" and try to start from scratch will that remove the art from the backup directory? Any other suggestions.

"remove all my Cover Art" and try to start from scratch will that remove the art from the backup directory?
it askes you if you wish to remove the art from the drive, i would say "NO"
if you have changed the artist and album name since it was downloaded it orginaly thats why it is not found on the local drive or your coverart path is not the same as where your art really is.

King~~ just for future reference........... I tried everything I could think of but the only way that I was able to restore the Cover Art images was to reinstall MC then go in and remove all image files from the Library(not the Hardrive) even though I was not able to see the images in the app. MC was saying that they were there. After the phantom images were deleted from the Library, it went smoothly to "Quick Find in File/Cover Art directory" I guess it just had to reassociate the files. It took less than a minute to restore the art to 500+ cds. Thanx for trying to help~~~

I think that is a bug i reported many many moons ago (A little Indian Lingo There), i don't normaly use J rivers cover art finder, so i guess thats still broken.
I think i will be starting a new project to allow users to upload coverart to my server, and also download it.
