Title: Removing Unneeded Tree Items

I know this was covered before but I wonder if any more thought has been given to allowing unneeded items to be removed from the tree.  

For example, the TV Tuner for me, since I don't have one.

I remember there was a reason, but I don't remember what it was.

I agree with you 100%.  I don't use any of the following:

Start, Find Cd, Artist info, CD DVD and handhelds, TV tuner and Web Media.  

That's quite a list of unwanted items in the tree!

I think the reason was that will be too big a change for this version of MC.  They are just doing maintenance / minor changes now while they work on the next big project (v10?).  They hinted they were considering a music only version of MC in the future.  If they don't go down this route (and I suspect not) then hopefully we will be able to customise access to functions that will inevitably not be used by many users.

See, I use mine for photos as well, for Tivo HMO, I just get tired of looking at TV Tuner mainly.
