I did some lyrics-adding yesterday and found that the plugin puts quite a looooong advertising text to the lyrics-tag.
Is this some sort of "shareware"-notice[1] or is it just my copy?
Thanks,
Mirko
[1] I would spend a few bugs if that notice will go away :-)
-
Amen - give us an option to remove the adverts king ! :)
pwetty pwease :)
-
what is the artist name and and song name?
And or show me a copy of what your seeing.
there should be none, someone may have added it.
if you give me more info i will search for it and band the user for submitting it.
-
Go King, Go King - U show them, You show them!!
lol - is that a mosquito for your icon?
-
I did a search on an internet-site (iirc lyrics[...].com) for a metallica-song (from album Metallica).
Well okay, I guess you'll have to wait for details until I get home :-)
Mirko, I _did_ see the advertising

by the way what version of Lyrics finder are you using?
if it is the one on J rivers site i do not suport that program, and i asked it to be deleted like 5 times but it has never been deleted.
that one downloaded directly from 10 lyrics sites and sometimes would have html code in the lyrics.

I was also wondering if the problem with the plug-in pages was fixed, because i would like to upload the plug-ins to the site but doneone ever said it was fixed or not.

The plug-ins pages are still not right but we're closing in on it.
Do you see the name of your program here?

well: party_sampler.mjp should have been deleted
but it should be: chart_finder.mjp
and then it would need to be removed from the html featured plug-in's pages
i would have deleted it myself but there is no way for me to delete it.

Hey king,
Would it be possible to put a 'search' feature on your website?
Just wondering because I was trying to find some lyrics and there were so many different versions of the artist that it made it alot harder to see if the song I was looking for was there.
I'm not sure if your program could do this.
If not, are you using Apache?
I could write you a php page if you wanted that would search your hard drive (you specify which dir to search) and return all close matches.
-

No, I don't know how
I'm not sure if your program could do this.
No
If not, are you using Apache?
Yes, Apache2
I could write you a php page
would i also not need php installed? and it is not at this time, and I also don't know how.
-
If you want to I'll tell you how. It's pretty easy.
This is of course presuming u want to?
I'd also need to know things like dir. structuring for the lyrics etc.
Lemme know :)
-
by the way what version of Lyrics finder are you using?
The oldest one I could get I guess :-/
But the advertising is also in the latest version:
"=============== End Of Lyrics ===============
The Lyrics Above Was Found Using Chart And Lyrics Finder
Chart And Lyrics Finder Is A Plug-in For Media Center 9
Chart And Lyrics Finder Can Be Found At: http://home.nc.rr.com/mycddblookup/index.html
Media Center Can Be Found At: http://www.musicex.com/mediajukebox/download.html
Chart And Lyrics Finder Database: Lyrics.csv"
Now I see it's advertising for the service itself - okay, I understand the reason, but could you please make it (1) smaller or (2) gone?
Ahh and when you are on it, could you please remove the "lf10"-things or change them to vbCrLf? Thanks :-)
Thanks
Mirko

this is old junk from the old program
that has not been supported for almost a year

Äh. I did actually download the newest plugin (0.0.26) and this one puts this text in... or is this text put into the database on your website?
I don't understand this whole thing. Why is it so that I'm the only one having problems with it? Okay, this could mean, the reason is... on no, this can't be... no... or maybe...

I am doing a search right now for any of this, i will let you know
it would have helped more if i knew what files had the text, so i am searching all near 300,000 lyrics for this.
at any rate if this was in your lyrics already the program will not overwrite it.
-
It was in songs from Metallica and someone with Artist="A*".
Sorry. It's all I could remember. Maybe this _is_ some sort of garbage from an old version (I had the oldest one installed you could think of...).

I just did a search and i have no lyrics with this info on it, so it must be old.
the new program checks for this info and cuts it out so users do not submit it.
On Another Note User 132.69.235.144 is still using an old version of 2.0 Lyrics finder. he can not get lyrics or submit lyrics with it but he keeps trying.
you would think users would update from time to time but some just keep trucking along with old versions. one day maybe he will download the new version that has been out for sometime.
