Title: Can't stop it from setting up each time

When I click on the Media Center 9.1 icon on my desktop, it goes through the setup and installation process before Media Center starts.  There's a box I can check during setup that will let me create a shortcut, but that screen flashes off so fast I can't put an x into the little box.  I've tried right-clicking the icon and doing "Create Shortcut Here," but when I click on that, the setup starts again.  I looked in the J River Media Center folder in My Computer, but there's nothing labeled as a shortcut.  Can you help me place an icon on my desktop that will start Media Center without going through the setup and installation process?

Hi
I don't know why you are not getting a desktop icon, however:

If you go to - - - >> C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center

And . .  Right-Click on 'Media Jukebox.exe' THEN send an Icon to the desktop you should be good to go.

- just edit the icon you made to point to
"C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center\Media Jukebox.exe"
_{(as a matter of fact, a simple 'copy-n-paste' from the above quoted pointer should work)}

NBachers,

Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the MediaCenter folder on your harddrive. There should be an icon in there called "Media Jukebox" (don't worry, that's Media Center). Right-click-and-drag it to the desktop (it helps if the Explorer window is not maximized). when you release the right mouse button, there should be the option to "Create shortcut here." That should do it.

I am a PC girl from back in the days of 8088's and MS Dos 3   8)
