Title: Addition to Win XP Explorer
Post by: Gordon on December 08, 2002, 09:15:56 am
Having installed Media Jukebox, when I right-click on a file in Windows Explorer (XP), Media Jukebox has now become one of the items on the list of menu options.
How can I remove this, without uninstalling the whole application?

If you feel comfortable editing the windows registry,
you can remove the Media Jukebox context menu like
this:

Open the registry in a registry editor, e.g. choose
Run... in the start menu and run: regedit

Delete the following key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Media Jukebox

If you don't feel comfortable editing the registry it's
probably best to just leave the Media Jukebox context
menu as is.

Or you could just do it the easy way and go to the Media Jukebox options menu and go to the General section and then uncheck the box that says "Enable Media Jukebox Shell Integration".  ;D

Naah, that's just waaay too easy! :)

I guess I should have looked in the options menu first,
before immediately jumping to the registry solution.

Oh well...
