So I have MC9, three PCs and an iPod.
Media (tunes and pics) stored on one PC which runs media server.
I've tried to update some track info from a machine which accesses the media via the server but the changes aren't reflected in the main machine's library - is there a way to do this?
Why? Well, I'd prefer to sync my iPod with a machine other than the one with the media actually on it. I guess that due to above last played and ratings won't find their way back to the main library if I do this???

Media Server is read only at this time. Maybe someday this will change, but it's not simple to do.

That's why you get paid the big buck$ ;D
If it was easy anyone could do it. :P

Thanks.
If I generally sync via a Media Server connected PC, would I loose last played etc from my iPod or will it survive the sync until I next sync with the machine with the media on it?

For iPod questions, please try the iPod support thread here.

I'll certainly ask the same question again ? in the iPod thread but surely the question isn't specifically related to the iPod. What happens when ANY handheld device is synchronised in this way!
