I have a lot of tracks with notes.
It would be great to be able to right click on a track and select View Note from the menu, opening up a window/speech bubble/whatever that allows viewing (not editing) of the track notes.
Any other support for this feature?

How about a multi-functional window, which may be positioned anywhere and includes information the user wants (e.g. notes, lyrics, bios and so on).
I would like to have such a window for the lyrics without having to use a viewing-template in "playing now" which supports them.

Right click is too slow! ("Light speed is too slow!", Mel Brooks, Spaceballs)
Such an important feature needs to be recalled in almost no time using a hot key or a toolbar icon. Few hundreds of a second and the attention required to point the cursor make a big difference in good User Interface.
I completely agree with your need of viewing notes.
Personally, I would enjoy music much better if I coluld quicly open a window showing notes for Genre, Album, Artist and Track, and where I could write down notes on the track I am listening to.

Maybe it would be easy to implement things like that in the AW... just some more entries under "File Properties"??
-
What is an AW?
-
Action Window...
-
Well, I keep it (AW) closed almost all of the time. It is not an effective interface, since you have to move out of your stream of thoughts to find the icon to click.
I prefer hot keys, that can become an automatism.

Well, how about a hotkey that opens AW and displays the notes (or whatever...) of the selected track in the AW then? If you prefer floating windows - the AW can be set to "Windowed"...
-
Yes, AW in floating mode is much better, if it contains Notes or other significant information. I find it is a waste of screen real estate when in its standard position.
